Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 cwl base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

One large diamond compartment defines this TH4 war layout. The Clan Castle and Mortar sit in the central core, protecting the Town Hall. A single Air Defense is positioned within the main walls, shielded from initial ground troop deployment. Two Archer Towers and two Cannons create a symmetrical defensive perimeter around the core. This compact design with centralized splash damage effectively counters mass Barbarian and Archer swarms. The layout's structure forces ground troops to path through multiple defenses before reaching the Town Hall, making it a strong anti-2 star design for its level.
