Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 cwl base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

This Town Hall 4 war base centralizes its key defenses within a two-compartment layout. The core compartment protects the Town Hall, one Mortar, one Archer Tower, and one Cannon. A single Air Defense guards the top-left quadrant, positioned behind high-hitpoint buildings. The Clan Castle sits in its own protected segment, making luring difficult for inexperienced attackers. The base design primarily counters ground-based attacks like Giant spam and Barbarian-Archer (Barch) swarms. The Mortar's placement provides excellent splash damage coverage over the most valuable structures.

✓The centrally located Mortar delivers critical splash damage across the core compartment, effectively neutralizing swarms of Barbarians and Archers.
✓A semi-centralized Clan Castle placement forces attackers to destroy outer buildings to trigger a lure, disrupting attack timing and troop pathing.
