Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 4 layout features a single, large central compartment. This core protects the Town Hall, the level 1 Air Defense, the Clan Castle, and the Mortar. Two Archer Towers and two Cannons offer point defense coverage, with one of each placed outside the walls. Surrounding resource and army buildings establish an anti-funnel perimeter, extending troop pathing distance. The design focuses on protecting splash and air defenses from ground-based attacks. The layout specifically counters mass Barbarian/Archer compositions and basic Giant attacks. Centralized defenses create a high-damage zone for any troops that breach the outer wall layer.
