Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base employs a highly compartmentalized, multi-layered design to thwart common TH8 attack strategies. The core is heavily fortified, housing the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir Storage, making it difficult to lure Clan Castle troops early. The base features a distinct triangular placement of Air Defenses, crucial for defending against the prevalent Mass Dragon attacks at this level. These are further supported by strategically positioned Wizard Towers that provide splash damage against Balloon follow-ups or ground swarms. A Bomb Tower is centrally located to devastate Hog Rider attacks pathing through the inner ring. The wall layout creates several small compartments, forcing ground troops like Golems and Pekkas to break through multiple layers, significantly slowing their advance while point defenses like Cannons and Archer Towers chip away at their health from the outer perimeter. High hit-point storages are placed in front of key defenses to act as tanks. This anti-3-star design works effectively for war by maximizing the time attackers spend breaking walls and ensuring key defensive structures cover each other comprehensively.
