Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base features a compact, multi-compartment design aimed at stalling ground attacks and protecting key defenses. The core houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and a Dark Elixir Storage, surrounded by a ring of high-value targets including Air Defenses, Wizard Towers, and the Barbarian King. The strategic placement of Air Defenses in a somewhat triangular formation provides overlapping coverage against air assaults like Dragons or Balloonion. Ground defenses, such as Cannons and Archer Towers, are distributed evenly across the outer layer to deter initial funneling attempts. The compartmentalization is tight, forcing troops to break through multiple wall layers, which slows down ground armies like GoWiPe or Hogs.
