Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 War base features a complex, multi-compartment design aimed at disrupting pathing and preventing 3-star attacks. The core houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and a centralized Barbarian King, making the final push difficult. Key defenses like Air Defenses are deeply embedded and separated, making them hard to snipe or chain with lightning spells, effectively countering air attacks like Dragons or Balloons. Splash damage from Mortars and Wizard Towers is well-distributed to cover multiple compartments, providing strong defense against swarms like Hogs. The base uses a pseudo-island structure for some key defenses, forcing attackers into unfavorable pathing. Spring traps and giant bombs are likely placed in the narrow corridors between compartments to maximize damage against ground troops. The offset Elixir Storage and Gold Storage on the perimeter serve as high-hitpoint buffers to delay attackers.
