Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base utilizes a symmetrical, diamond-shaped compartmentalization strategy to protect its core. The Town Hall is centrally located, surrounded by a tight ring of key defenses including the Clan Castle, Air Sweeper, and multiple Mortars, ensuring heavy splash damage against central pushes. The base is structured with four distinct outer compartments, each housing a mix of point defenses like Cannons and Archer Towers, along with Wizard Towers and Air Defenses. This layered approach forces attackers to breach multiple wall segments to reach the core. The placement of Air Defenses in separate compartments makes it difficult for air attacks like Mass Dragons to quickly eliminate them all. The outer perimeter is lined with resource collectors and builder huts to act as a buffer, delaying enemy troops while they are under fire from the defenses behind the walls. Spring traps and giant bombs are likely placed in the narrow pathways between compartments to disrupt ground attacks.
