Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 War base features a compact, heavily compartmentalized diamond-shaped core designed to thwart ground attacks. The central compartment houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir Storage, ensuring key objectives are well-protected. Surrounding this core are multiple smaller compartments containing crucial defenses like Air Defenses, Wizard Towers, and Mortars, creating a layered defense that forces attackers to break through numerous walls. The Air Defenses are somewhat centralized but spread out to cover different angles, though they remain vulnerable to coordinated air strikes. Trap placement, while not fully visible, is likely concentrated in the choke points between compartments. The exterior is ringed by non-defensive buildings and point defenses like Cannons and Archer Towers, which serve to distract and whittle down incoming troops before they reach the core.
