Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 War base features a compartmentalized design centered around protecting the Town Hall and core defenses. The core houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and two Air Defenses, heavily guarded by surrounding Wizard Towers and Mortars. The base utilizes a multi-layered wall structure, forcing attackers to break through several compartments to reach the center. Key defenses like the Barbarian King and remaining Air Defense are strategically placed in outer compartments to distract and weaken incoming troops. Trap placement, particularly the Giant Bombs and Spring Traps visible near the bottom and right sides, suggests an anticipation of ground attacks from those directions. The layout's strength lies in its ability to slow down both ground and air assaults, with overlapping fields of fire from Archer Towers and Cannons positioned in the outer ring.
