Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base features a decentralized Town Hall design, prioritizing the protection of key defenses over the Town Hall itself. The core is heavily fortified, housing the Dark Elixir Storage and Clan Castle, making it difficult to lure defending troops. Surrounding the core are multiple compartments containing a mix of point defenses (Cannons, Archer Towers) and splash damage (Wizard Towers, Mortars). The placement of Air Defenses is somewhat clustered near the center, offering good overlapping coverage against aerial assaults. Trap placement appears strategic, with potential bomb towers and giant bombs likely located in the pathing between defenses. The wall structure is complex, with numerous small compartments designed to slow down ground attacks and force troops to break through multiple layers. The overall philosophy is to prevent 3-star attacks by making pathing unpredictable and ensuring defenses can deal sustained damage.
