Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base features a diamond-shaped, multi-compartment design aimed at protecting the core. The Town Hall is centrally located, flanked by the Clan Castle, Dark Elixir Storage, and a Barbarian King altar, ensuring strong central defense. The base is structured with a central core, surrounded by an inner ring of compartments housing Air Defenses, Wizard Towers, and Mortars, which provide overlapping coverage against both air and ground attacks. The outer layer consists of numerous smaller compartments containing Cannons and Archer Towers, designed to slow down enemy funnels and force troops to break through multiple walls. Spring traps and bombs are strategically placed between defensive structures to disrupt troop pathing. The symmetric layout helps in balancing the defense, making it difficult for attackers to find a weak side to exploit. The placement of Air Defenses in separate compartments makes it resilient against mass dragon attacks, a common strategy at TH8.
