Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 War base utilizes a heavily compartmentalized diamond structure to slow down ground assaults. The core houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir Storage, surrounded by an inner ring of defenses including Wizard Towers and Air Defenses. This setup ensures that core-diving troops are subjected to intense splash and anti-air damage. The outer compartments are designed to funnel troops, with strategically placed traps like Spring Traps and Bombs visible near the junctions. Defensive buildings like Cannons and Archer Towers are distributed evenly across the outer ring to provide comprehensive coverage. The base lacks advanced defenses like X-Bows or Inferno Towers, typical for TH8, relying heavily on its labyrinthine wall design to disrupt pathing. The centralized Clan Castle is well-protected, making it difficult to lure troops without committing significant forces. This layout is particularly effective for War as it complicates the deployment and progression of popular TH8 attack strategies like GoHo or mass Dragons.
