Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 War base features a compartmentalized, diamond-shaped core designed to protect the Town Hall and Clan Castle. The layout utilizes a multi-layered wall structure, forcing attackers to break through several compartments to reach the center. Key defenses like Air Defenses and Wizard Towers are spread out in the inner and middle rings, providing overlapping coverage. The southern section contains a concentrated pocket of traps, including Giant Bombs and Spring Traps, strategically placed between defensive structures to punish ground attacks pushing towards the core. The outer layer consists of scattered resource buildings and Army Camps to act as a buffer, slowing down enemy troops and funneling them towards the primary defensive lines. The centralized Clan Castle ensures defending troops are triggered late in the attack, maximizing their impact. Overall, this design aims to thwart both air and ground assaults by breaking up pathing and utilizing trap placement effectively.
