Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base employs a highly compartmentalized, symmetrical diamond layout designed to thwart both ground and air attacks. The core houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir storage, making CC lures difficult without significant troop investment from the attacker. Key defenses like the three Air Defenses are arranged in a triangular formation around the center, providing overlapping coverage against popular TH8 mass Dragon attacks. Wizard Towers and the Bomb Tower are strategically positioned near the core to deliver devastating splash damage to grouped ground troops like Hog Riders or Valkyries breaching the inner walls. The outer layer features numerous small compartments housing Cannons and Archer Towers, serving to break up ground pathing and delay funneling. Builder huts placed in the extreme corners act as classic time-stallers to prevent 3-star finishes. The dense wall layering and strategic placement of high-HP storages in front of key defenses ensure that attackers will struggle to maintain momentum, making this an effective anti-3-star design.
