Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 war base features a highly compartmentalized, symmetrical design aimed at defending against popular TH8 attacks like mass Dragons and Hog Riders. The core is heavily fortified, housing the Town Hall, Clan Castle, and Dark Elixir Storage, ensuring the CC is difficult to lure without committing significant troop space. A key defensive strategy here is the triangular placement of the three Air Defenses, which are protected by high-hitpoint Gold and Elixir Storages acting as buffers. This forces Dragons to spend time burning through storages while taking sustained fire. The Air Sweeper is strategically positioned to cover the southern approach, further complicating air attacks. For ground defense, the base utilizes multiple small compartments to disrupt Hog Rider pathing, with potential Giant Bomb locations nestled between defensive structures in the second layer. Wizard Towers are well-distributed to provide crucial splash damage against grouped troops. The outer perimeter is lined with trash buildings to make funneling difficult, forcing attackers to clear carefully or risk their main army wandering.
