Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH7 war base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

A centralized core protects two Air Defenses, the Clan Castle, and the Town Hall. This layout features 15 compartments defined by level 7 walls. Three Air Defenses create a triangular coverage pattern, with two heavily protected in the center. Three Wizard Towers provide overlapping splash damage across key entry points. The design counters mass Dragon attacks and ground-based Giant strategies. A difficult-to-lure Clan Castle complicates initial attack phases, forcing a heavy troop commitment to draw out defensive units.

💪 Strengths

✓Two of the three Air Defenses occupy the central compartment, flanked by high-hitpoint Storages and protected by two Seeking Air Mines, making a direct Dragon assault costly.
✓The base effectively counters mass Dragon attacks by forcing a difficult funnel and protecting the core air defenses from a simple one-sided push.
✓Numerous small compartments and strategically placed spring traps between defenses disrupt pathing for ground troops like Giants and Hog Riders, separating them from support units.

⚠️ Weaknesses

✗The southern Air Defense is isolated and can be destroyed by three Lightning Spells, creating a clear path for a Dragon or DragLoon attack from the north (12 o'clock).
✗The Air Sweeper points south, leaving the entire northern half of the base, including the two core Air Defenses, completely exposed to an aerial assault from the top.

🏰 Recommended CC Troops

1 Dragon, 1 Balloon. The Dragon provides high splash damage against enemy Dragons and Balloons. The defensive Balloon targets ground or air troops, adding significant DPS once the attacker breaches the core.
