Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH7 war base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

This symmetrical TH7 war base utilizes over 12 compartments to slow ground armies. Three level 5 Air Defenses create a defensive triangle around the core, offering balanced protection. The Clan Castle and Barbarian King anchor the central compartment, making a lure difficult. Three Wizard Towers provide splash damage coverage over the key Air Defenses and exterior storage buffers. This compartmentalization and strategic air defense placement effectively defend against Mass Hog Rider and Mass Dragon strategies, forcing attackers into segmented kill zones.

✓Three Air Defenses are placed in a triangular formation, ensuring overlapping coverage against aerial attacks. Each Air Defense is protected by a nearby Wizard Tower and high-hitpoint storages, which act as shields against dragons.
✓The base counters Hog Rider attacks through extensive compartmentalization and strategic trap placement. Spring Traps are located in 2-tile gaps between defenses to eject multiple hogs from the battle.
✓A centralized and unlurable Clan Castle forces attackers to penetrate deep into the base before engaging defensive troops. The Barbarian King and a central mortar protect the Town Hall within the core.

✗An attacker can use three Lightning Spells to destroy one of the side Air Defenses. This creates a clear path for a Mass Dragon attack toward the remaining two air defenses.
✗Wizard Towers are positioned directly adjacent to Air Defenses, causing them to lock onto high-health Dragons instead of lower-health Balloons that may accompany them.
