Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH5 farming base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

A centralized Mortar and Wizard Tower define this TH5 farming layout. Eight compartments separate key structures, protecting resources. The Town Hall and Air Defense occupy the core compartment. The Wizard Tower covers the Elixir Storage and two Gold Storages, while the Mortar provides wide-area splash damage. The Clan Castle is semi-exposed but centrally located for quick troop deployment. Strategic splash damage placement counters mass Barbarian/Archer (Barch) attacks and Giant-based army compositions. Point defenses create a balanced defensive perimeter around the core.

✓The Wizard Tower protects three storages with overlapping splash damage, effectively countering Goblin and Barbarian resource raids.
