Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH5 farming base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

Centralized splash defenses define this TH5 farming layout. The base utilizes five distinct compartments to segment attacking forces and protect resources. A core compartment houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, Mortar, and Wizard Tower. This central placement provides excellent protection against ground swarm attacks. The single Air Defense resides in a side compartment, flanked by two Archer Towers for support. The design effectively counters mass Barbarian/Archer (Barch) pushes and basic Giant-Wiz strategies by funneling troops into heavy splash damage zones and strategically placed Spring Traps. Storages are separated to minimize loot loss.
