Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH5 farming base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

This TH5 farming layout uses five compartments to safeguard resources and the Town Hall. A central Wizard Tower and Mortar provide excellent overlapping splash coverage against ground swarms. The single Air Defense and centralized Clan Castle create a strong defensive core. Gold and Elixir Storages are segregated into different compartments, forcing attackers to break through multiple layers. The base design specializes in defending against Barch (Barbarian and Archer) and Giant-based ground attacks, making it an effective hybrid layout for protecting loot and trophies.

💪 Strengths

✓The centralized Clan Castle has a wide trigger radius, making it difficult for attackers to lure troops without first engaging with perimeter defenses and traps.
✓Overlapping splash damage from the core Mortar and Wizard Tower effectively neutralizes Barch and Goblin swarms before they can penetrate the main storage compartments.
✓Strategic compartmentalization separates the two Gold Storages and two Elixir Storages, preventing attackers from capturing all resources from a single point of entry.

⚠️ Weaknesses

✗Mass Balloon attacks can easily achieve three stars once the single, somewhat exposed Air Defense is eliminated by ground troops or Lightning Spells.
✗A well-placed Lightning Spell can destroy the Mortar, significantly weakening the base's primary defense against large groups of Barbarians and Archers.
