Why Does This Base Design Work?
This TH5 farming base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.
A centralized Town Hall and Clan Castle anchor this TH5 hybrid base within six distinct compartments. The core protects the Air Defense, crucial against early air attacks. A Wizard Tower guards the upper Elixir Storage, while a Mortar defends the lower Gold Storage, creating balanced splash damage coverage. The layout's funneling and trap placement effectively counter Barch spam and Giant-based ground assaults by separating key defenses and resource buildings.
💪 Strengths
- ✓The centrally placed Air Defense is protected by multiple walls and surrounding point defenses, making it difficult for Balloon attacks to succeed without first clearing outer structures.
- ✓Strategic funneling with non-defensive buildings forces ground troops like Giants into pathways lined with Spring Traps, significantly reducing their numbers before they reach the core.
- ✓Separated splash defenses, with the Mortar and Wizard Tower in different compartments, prevent an attacker from eliminating both with a single group of troops, ensuring continuous defense against Barch or Goblin swarms.
⚠️ Weaknesses
- ✗A well-placed Lightning Spell can destroy the single Mortar, leaving the base vulnerable to large groups of Archers and Barbarians attacking from the southern side.
- ✗The Clan Castle, while centralized, is still lurable by sending a few troops to target the outer Archer Tower or Cannon, allowing the attacker to deal with defensive troops easily.
- ✗Wall Breakers can open up two major compartments on either side by targeting the T-junctions near the Archer Towers, providing a direct path to the storages.
🏰 Recommended CC Troops
Max-level Balloons (2): Their high splash damage upon death is devastating to low-HP ground troops like Barbarians and Archers. A single Valkyrie can also eliminate entire clusters of attacking ground forces.
