Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 war base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

This TH4 war base centralizes the Clan Castle and Mortar within a core diamond-shaped compartment for maximum protection. Five total compartments force ground troops through multiple wall layers. The single Air Defense occupies the top compartment, shielded from initial attacks. Two Archer Towers provide flanking anti-air and ground coverage from the sides. The layout's compartmentalization effectively defends against mass Giant attacks and widespread Barbarian-Archer spam, slowing down ground forces and protecting the most critical defenses.

💪 Strengths

✓The Clan Castle's central placement makes a troop lure difficult, forcing attackers to break a wall layer to engage the powerful defensive troops.
✓Mass Giant attacks are countered by the multi-compartment design, which separates tanking units from their back-end support troops like Archers.

🏰 Recommended CC Troops

Max-level Balloons are the strongest choice, as they cannot be targeted by common TH4 ground troops like Giants or Barbarians and deliver devastating splash damage. A high-level Valkyrie also excels, using her spin attack to eliminate groups of ground units quickly.
