Why Does This Base Design Work?

A TH18 War base presents a diamond-shaped anti-3-star design with a heavily fortified central core. The layout features 13 distinct compartments, promoting anti-funneling. A maxed Town Hall 18, Monolith, and Eagle Artillery occupy the innermost central compartment, providing immense core defense. Four Scattershots are strategically placed in the inner diamond, offering wide-area splash damage. Eight Inferno Towers, a mix of single and multi-target, reinforce these inner compartments. The base effectively counters E-Drag spam with widespread Air Defenses and Root Rider spam through deep compartmentalization and high splash damage density.
