Why Does This Base Design Work?

A highly compartmentalized TH17 trophy base features a centralized Town Hall and Monolith, both protected by multiple wall layers. Over ten distinct compartments restrict troop pathing. The Eagle Artillery occupies a central compartment, providing wide-area damage. Two Scattershots deliver powerful splash damage from upper-mid sections. Multiple multi-target and single-target Inferno Towers are strategically dispersed across the core. This anti-2-star design effectively counters mass E-Drag spam and Root Rider ground attacks. Numerous X-Bows provide comprehensive ground and air point defense coverage across quadrants. Two Spell Towers, likely Rage and Poison, further enhance critical defensive zones.
