Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH5 base utilizes a compact, diamond-shaped design with five distinct compartments. The layout centralizes key splash defenses, placing the Wizard Tower and Mortar directly beside the Town Hall. This core setup provides excellent protection against ground-based assaults. Two Gold Storages and two Elixir Storages act as high-hitpoint shields within the walls. The base effectively counters Giant-Healer strategies and Barbarian-Archer (Barch) spam. The compartmentalization forces ground troops through a series of walls, maximizing trap effectiveness.
