Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH5 anti 3 star base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

A centralized core compartment protects the most valuable TH5 defenses: the Mortar, Wizard Tower, and Air Defense. This defensive base design uses five compartments to segment defenses and slow ground armies. The Clan Castle resides in the base's center, making a troop lure difficult for attackers. This layout provides strong defense against Giant-based armies and mass Balloon attacks. Spring traps are positioned in southern funnels between defenses to eject Giants. The Town Hall occupies a separate northern compartment, protected by an Archer Tower and a Cannon.
