Why Does This Base Design Work?

This Town Hall 8 farming layout utilizes a highly compartmentalized, diamond-grid structure to effectively slow down ground attacks and protect precious resources. The core features a perfectly centralized Clan Castle, making defensive troops exceptionally difficult to lure, flanked by the Town Hall and Barbarian King. Crucially for a farming base, the Gold and Elixir storages are distributed across four separate mid-tier compartments, ensuring an attacker cannot easily steal all resources in a single concentrated push. The Dark Elixir storage is tucked securely in the southern quadrant behind multiple walls. Defensively, the base employs a strong triangular placement of Air Defenses to ward off popular TH8 mass Dragon attacks. Wizard Towers are strategically positioned near the storages to provide essential splash damage against swarming tier-one troops like Goblins or Archers. Mortars offer broad, overlapping coverage from the inner ring. While higher-tier defenses like X-Bows or Inferno Towers are not available at this Town Hall level, the dense wall layering and strategic funneling with spring traps visible between outer defenses create a frustrating maze for Giants and Hogs, making it an excellent design for resource retention.
