Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 hybrid layout utilizes a five-compartment structure for balanced protection. The central compartment houses the Town Hall, Clan Castle, a Level 2 Mortar, and a Level 1 Air Defense. This core provides excellent splash and air coverage. Four surrounding compartments contain key point defenses and storages, separating them to prevent easy looting. Two Level 4 Archer Towers and two Level 4 Cannons create a perimeter of fire. The design excels at defending against mass Barbarian and Archer (Barch) spam and presents a significant challenge for Giant-based ground attacks.
