Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 hybrid base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

This TH4 Hybrid layout centralizes the Town Hall and Mortar for maximum protection. The base utilizes a five-compartment design to slow enemy ground troops. The single Mortar provides crucial splash coverage over the core, while the Air Defense is positioned in a northern compartment. Two Archer Towers protect the east and west flanks. This structure defends effectively against Giant-based attacks and Barbarian swarms. The layout forces attackers to break through multiple walls to reach valuable storages and the Town Hall.

💪 Strengths

✓The central Mortar delivers consistent splash damage across the core, decimating swarms of Barbarians and Archers.
✓Multiple compartments and strategic Spring Trap placements effectively counter Giant attacks by separating them from support troops and ejecting them from the battlefield.
✓Symmetrical placement of the two Archer Towers and the northern Air Defense creates balanced anti-air coverage, defending against initial Balloon deployments.

⚠️ Weaknesses

✗An attack utilizing mass Balloons from the south can overwhelm the base, as troops can destroy point defenses before engaging the single, northern-placed Air Defense.
✗The Clan Castle is positioned on the southern edge, making it extremely easy for an attacker to lure and eliminate defensive troops with a single unit.
