Why Does This Base Design Work?

A TH18 Trophy base features over 20 distinct compartments, creating extreme compartmentalization. The Town Hall 18, Monolith, and Eagle Artillery occupy the central core, protected by multiple layers. Two Scattershots are positioned diagonally 7 tiles from the Monolith, providing broad splash coverage. Eight X-Bows are spread throughout, offering extensive ground and air defense. This anti-3 design effectively counters Root Rider spam by fragmenting troop pathing and defends against E-Drag spam with strong anti-air defenses and compartmentalization. Each compartment forces attackers to break more walls.
