Why Does This Base Design Work?

A highly segmented TH18 Trophy base features over 20 distinct compartments, effectively disrupting ground troop pathing. Two Monoliths guard the central Town Hall, positioned 2 and 3 tiles away, providing critical single-target damage. Four Scattershots offer wide splash defense across the inner core, positioned symmetrically. The Eagle Artillery occupies the upper-right quadrant, covering extensive ground. Numerous multi-target Inferno Towers and X-Bows are strategically placed throughout the layout, ensuring comprehensive defensive coverage. This anti-3-star design effectively counters Root Rider spam and Queen Charge Hybrid attacks by fragmenting forces and delivering concentrated damage.
