Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH18 trophy base features a uniquely offset and heavily trapped Town Hall core. Its design is highly segmented, utilizing over 25 compartments to frustrate pathing and slow attacks. Key defenses like the dual Scattershots, multi-target Inferno Towers, and the Monolith are spread out to maximize coverage. The base is designed to defend against many popular strategies but shows weakness to specific approaches. A well-executed Queen Charge Hybrid can create a path to the core for high value. Overwhelming ground armies, such as Root Rider spam, can also effectively break through the numerous compartments.
