Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH14 War base utilizes a diamond-shaped footprint with 18 distinct compartments. The Town Hall occupies the central compartment, flanked by a Monolith and Clan Castle. Two multi-target Inferno Towers protect the core from the west and east. The Eagle Artillery resides in a north-central compartment, 6 tiles from the Town Hall. Two Scattershots are positioned symmetrically in mid-outer compartments, 10 tiles from the Town Hall. Multi-target Infernos and Monoliths effectively counter E-Drag spam and Root Rider ground attacks.
