Why Does This Base Design Work?

A multi-layered compartmentalization system defines this TH9 trophy base, featuring over 15 distinct compartments that effectively slow ground troop advancements. The Town Hall and Dark Elixir Storage sit centrally within separate 3x3 compartments. Four X-Bows, two set to ground and two to multi-target, provide substantial core and flanking damage. Four Air Defenses are strategically placed in separate compartments across the mid-layer. Four Wizard Towers offer splash damage overlap, protecting resource buildings. This design effectively counters Hog Rider attacks through numerous spring traps and central Giant Bombs. It also defends well against Witch Slap strategies with concentrated splash defense and ground X-Bows.
