Why Does This Base Design Work?
This TH6 war base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.
This TH6 war base features a symmetrical, nine-compartment structure. The Clan Castle and Town Hall are secured in the central core, making lures and two-star attempts difficult. Two Air Defenses are protected within the second layer, flanked by Archer Towers. Two Wizard Towers offer overlapping splash damage coverage across the core and adjacent compartments. This heavily segmented layout forces ground troops through multiple walls, effectively countering Giant-Healer strategies. The strategic placement of air defenses and traps also provides a solid defense against mass Balloon attacks.
💪 Strengths
- ✓The centralized Clan Castle is difficult to lure, ensuring defensive troops engage attackers deep within the base. The two Air Defenses are positioned in separate compartments, preventing a single attack group from destroying both quickly.
- ✓This layout counters Giant-Healer attacks effectively. The nine-compartment design and well-placed spring traps separate Giants from healing units, while point defenses wear them down.
- ✓Wizard Towers provide excellent splash damage overlap with Mortars, covering the core and key entry points. This splash zone is highly effective against swarms of Balloons, Barbarians, and Archers.
⚠️ Weaknesses
- ✗A mass Balloon attack can exploit the base's primary weakness. An attacker can use two Lightning Spells to eliminate one Air Defense, then deploy all Balloons to overwhelm the single remaining Air Defense from the opposite side.
- ✗The Air Sweeper placement leaves the entire northern half of the base vulnerable. Air troops deployed from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock face no pushback, giving them a direct and uncontested path toward the core.
🏰 Recommended CC Troops
One high-level Valkyrie and filler Archers. The Valkyrie's high-speed splash damage will quickly eliminate groups of Giants or Wizards that breach the core, while Archers provide supporting ranged DPS against air and ground troops.
