Why Does This Base Design Work?

This TH4 anti 3 star base uses strong walls and smart defense placement to stop attacks. It works well against the most common armies at this level.

A compact, four-compartment design defines this TH4 layout. The central compartment secures the Town Hall, Clan Castle, Mortar, and the sole Air Defense. Surrounding compartments house two Archer Towers and two Cannons, providing layered point defense. A Gold Storage inside the core absorbs damage, protecting the Mortar. The layout effectively counters mass Barbarian spam with its centralized Mortar. Centralized Air Defense placement deters mass Balloon attacks by forcing them through heavy fire. Outer buildings create a wide funnel against ground troops.
