Why Does This Base Design Work?

The TH16 trophy base features 18 distinct compartments, creating formidable anti-2-star protection. A centrally positioned Town Hall resides with the Clan Castle and Eagle Artillery in a 3x3 tiled core. Two Monoliths guard the second layer, positioned at 5 tiles from the Town Hall. Four X-Bows, set to ground, provide concentrated point defense around the core. Two Multi-Target Inferno Towers flank the upper and lower sections, while two Single-Target Inferno Towers secure the left and right approaches. This base design effectively counters Root Rider spam with its heavy compartmentalization and deters E-Drag attacks through dispersed Air Defenses and high DPS air targeting. Two Scattershots deliver crucial splash damage from the second layer.
